This huge (255 full-color photographed pages), oversized coffee-table type book is subtitled “A Global Family Portrait”.
Picture this: Full color photographs of families from all over the world, standing outside of their homes, with everything they own in the world stacked up around them. That’s what this book is. You can view families from half a world away who have 12 people living in a one-room hut, who own between them nothing more than a bag of rice, 2 chickens, a bowl, a pot, a blanket, and the clothes on their back. Turn a few pages and see an American family in all their stark contrast, as their belongings for their family of 5 don’t even fit in the 2-page photo spread and have to be listed separately as “additional items owned”.
Divided into sections such as “Islands”, “Middle East”, etc., this book makes it easy to look up a specific country or area that you are studying, and see how the people live there, from the viewpoint of one average family. It also tells you a biography on each family, what they do each day, how they live, etc.
It really “brings the world home to you”. A must-have, high interest book. It also makes a popular gift book. Flexicover, 1.2kg.

A fascinating account of the world’s famous explorers, including the early travelers in ancient times, the discovery of the New World, explorations in Africa and Australia, and the expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic. Many of the explorers tell part of their story in their own words. Amply illustrated with reproductions of early maps and charts, as well as old woodcuts, drawings, paintings, and miniatures. Emphasis is placed on the explorers’ “record of splendid endurance, of hardships bravely borne, of silent toil, of courage and resolution unequalled in the annals of mankind, of self-sacrifice unrivalled and faithful lives laid ungrudgingly down.” Suitable for ages 10 and up. 548p, 800g.

revised by Sandi Queen $30.00
The search for just the “right” geography book – one that will tell your children wonderful truths about the world God made in an easy-to-read, conversational style that would bring the far-away places and knowledge of geographical truths to life for them – is ended. The end is the book you now hold in your hands.
Written by Charlotte Mason herself years ago, this is a geography book that will stir your child’s love of learning, gently explaining geographical terminology through Miss Mason’s unassuming, conversational style of teaching about the world God created in all its varied glory. Originally written for English children, our first inclination was to rewrite sections of the book to make it more geared towards American children. But our gut feeling was to leave it as it was originally written – from the point of view of the dear English educator who had won my heart with her methods so long ago.
We hope you enjoy getting to know about God’s wonderful world through the eyes of Charlotte Mason herself; and we’re honored to be a part of bringing it to your hands. 68p, paperback.
41 Lessons with questions at the end of each lesson.
