Father to Son DVD Set

fathertoson

This product is naow available from Chariot Press.

Set of 6 DVDs

Fathers need to begin speaking to their sons. But the conversation can’t be aimless or trivial. Fathers need to talk in manly and specific ways about the duties of Christian manhood. This six-part DVD series is designed to provide fathers and future fathers with simple examples of manly discussion. Where does a dad begin? With the pressing issues that weigh on young minds, these informal, unrehearsed conversations between Geoffrey Botkin and his five sons show how it can be done.

Each episode tackles an age appropriate discipline of manhood and how it is developed with fathers. Sons learn the disciplines of manhood through hard work. Fathers interpret the world for sons through shared adventures. Sons learn leadership duties through worship. Sons learn to conquer the world by dominion and to hold the ground they take through spiritual battle. Each rich conversation is broken into short study segments, and thorough Bible-study notes are provided as PDFs which can jump-start family or Bible-study discussions. Also included is the sixth bonus DVD: How To Talk to Your Sons and 103 pages of study materials.

I’d like to prescribe this series for every father in America. Fathers desperately need to turn their hearts to their sons. This series will give them confidence to do it.”
— D. Matthew Clark, M.D.

We have found these DVD’s an excellent aid in discipling our sons.  Not to be a replacement to talking with your sons by any means, but a great jump start for many families with boys.  Our daughter also benefitted from them. Many important topics are covered from work, worship and war to adventure and many others.  A very useful tool.

Creation or Evolution

Creation or Evolution

creation_or_evolutionby Mike Snavely

Have you ever seen a curriculum designed specifically to deal with the creation vs. evolution issue?  If you’re like us, you have probably always taught your children about creation, but here is a workbook to help cement all your teaching, and perhaps a few more important facts , into your children’s minds. This book is designed for self-study purposes, for anyone 6th grade and above, but could be used for students as young as 10 if done along with an adult.  It contains forty lessons that are divided into seven units.  Most lessons have worksheets, and all units have tests.  Most use this for their children as a Bible supplement.  It’s designed to answer many of the questions asked on the issue of origins:

•Where did you come from? Why are you alive?

•Were you created, or did you evolve?

•Does it make a difference what you believe?

•How long were the “days” of creation?

•What is science? What is evolution?

•Does science support the theory of evolution?

•What happened to the dinosaurs?

•Was the flood really worldwide?

•Where did all the water go?

•What does nature have to say about origins?

•Were there “hominids” in the past – evidence of human evolution?

This curriculum answers these and many other questions. It is designed to give the student a well-rounded view of the whole “creation model” of origins.  This study of the biblical account of origins will stretch the student’s faith in the written Word of God and encourages confidence when facing a world hostile to its message. All tests and answers included. 147 pages; 450g.

So Much More

by Anna Sophia Botkin and Elizabeth Botkin This product is now available from Chariot Press.

This book is not another Christian-teenage-girl “survival guide.” So Much More shows how Christian girls can wage war with the world and win. The Botkin sisters focus on how young women can rise above their God-hating culture and change it for the better.

Today, countless young ladies face difficult problems and challenging questions. While many long for godly purpose in their lives, their bewilderment mounts when they observe broken homes, distant fathers, overwhelmed mothers, degrading college courses, and a lack of spiritual guidance — both at home and at church. As hope for security and stability fades, it is no wonder that many young ladies feel orphaned, unprotected, and without hope for their futures.

Within the pages of this book, discover practical, biblical solutions for the young woman who wants to do so much more than just “survive” in a savagely feministic, anti-Christian culture. Find the answers a girl is not likely to get from her church, her peers, or her culture.

“You hold in your hands a rare gem, the fruit of godly parenting, biblical mentoring and thoroughly scriptural teaching. Its vision is one that should awaken every daughter to the calling she has to advance the kingdom of God.”  Jennie Chancey co-author of Passionate Housewives Desparate for God.

“As the father of five dautghters, I feel the weight of my call to protect them. This book, with wisdom, charity, logic and beauty, not only deepened that weight, but lightened the load. These young ladies have honoured their parents and have served generations to come.  I encourage fathers, mothers, daughters and sons to read this book – and that covers everyone.”  RC Sproul Jr.

“In So Much More the writers…have managed to expose the feminist lies that have indoctrinated our western culture and even crept into the church.  While the two young maidens wisely point our daughters to God’s Word and to the protection and leadership of their Daddy, they also show young ladies how serving one’s father as a daughter at home truly glorifies the Lord.” Stacy McDonald co-author of Passionate Housewives Desparate for God.

This book is a real breath of fresh air!  I enjoyed every page, including and especially, the appendix with its expose of Marxism.  Good to read and work through with your daughter. Challenging, even for mothers.  A brilliant book. Hardcover. 620g.
